Field Test Coordinator

Position Summary

The Field Test Coordinator role is part of the Quality Assurance / Customer Experience department and focuses on managing and organising field test schedules between local project managers and the R&D/QA team. Key responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, setting milestones, providing technical support, and tracking progress to ensure timely task completion.

Role and Responsibilities

Schedule Coordination: Manage field test and project schedules between R&D/QA teams and European project managers.

Technical Support: Perform first-line technical analysis of field issues related to network services (e.g., LTE, 5G, VoLTE, IMS). Assist in log collection and preliminary root cause analysis.

Issue Resolution: Support issue reproduction and simulation in test environments.

Resource Management: Oversee personnel, equipment, and budgets to ensure project success.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.

Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including plans, timelines, reports, and meeting notes.

Problem Solving: Assist in resolving issues during project execution and implement solutions swiftly.

Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of wireless network technologies (LTE, 5G, VoLTE, etc.).

Experience: Previous experience in project coordination, management, or administration is required.

Tools Proficiency: Experience with log analysis tools (e.g., QXDM, NetMonster, Wireshark) and test automation tools.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Organisation: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Location and Hybrid Working:

The role is based at Samsung R&D Institute in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, UK.

Samsung operates a hybrid working policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote weekly for most roles.
