JOB SUMMARY: The Field-Technician I is responsible for assisting with a variety of projects and on-site field work, as directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

Supervise and conduct natural areas management, restoration, and conservation activities including:

Invasive species management

Herbicide application

Tree/shrub/herbaceous plantings and seedings

Assistance with controlled burning

Assist in surveys, site visits, and/or testing in varying environments and weather conditions

Compose detailed notes of conditions, field procedures, and results

Cross-train into other disciplines to become an integrated member of Eocene Environmental Group's Environmental Division

Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings

Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership

Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures

Position may require 15%-50% travel

Occasional overnight travel

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or the equivalent

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required license/credentials based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity

Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science or similar field

Previous environmental field experience

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Frequently required to walk, sometimes over varying terrain

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, on occasion

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions in outdoor environments
