Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Field Technician I to join our team. The successful candidate will support activities using GIS and CAD software to assist with electric distribution projects and data maintenance. This role requires moderate oversight and offers the opportunity to engage with higher complexity and priority projects.

ResponsibilitiesUpdate GIS data to reflect electric distribution construction completed in the field by referencing as-builts, work management logs, and other documentation.Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with appropriate resources to ensure accurate data updates to client systems.Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levels.Participate and collaborate in meetings with teammates, clients, and other stakeholders.Work in an Agile team environment, valuing collaboration and feedback to produce high-quality work meeting client standards.Complete engineering design work and provide deliverables to the client.Assist with storm response work as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with GIS Software such as Small World, Esri Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS, ArcWeb services, and ArcGIS Server), QGIS.Experience with CAD Software such as Bentley Systems (MicroStation), Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, etc.).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.0-2 years of relevant experience.Willingness to perform both field and office work, with overnight travel required (10-20% travel).Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field data collection.Proficiency in using a personal vehicle for work purposes.Knowledge of Utility Client Standards preferred.Work Environment

The position involves working 100% in the field. The role requires a combination of field and office work, with the possibility of overnight travel (10-20% travel). The candidate must be comfortable working in outdoor environments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
