About the role The Field Support Technician is responsible for identifying, coordinating, and addressing various field related equipment issues with residential electrical products, including Leviton Load Centers and components, such as circuit breakers, arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) products, ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) products, dual function AFCI/GFCI products, whole home energy monitors, and current transformers, switches and dimmers, EVSE products, and other electrical products. They will monitor reported field issues, and work with the sales, business development, engineering, quality, and technical service teams to quickly identify, prioritize and perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs or replacements, and manage customer relationships. As the face of Leviton to the customer, a professional attitude and positive demeanor must be displayed. Responsibilities Identify field issues that need to be prioritized, and coordinate with the various Leviton teams to provide timely and effective solutions Primary liaison between customer and respective Leviton teams to address prioritized field issues Communicate with customers, and align schedules with customers, sales representatives, electrical contractors, builders, and distributors for field service site visits Quickly assess field issues at a site and provide immediate feedback to engineering for a quick resolution Maintain accurate records of service calls, issues observed, work performed, and parts used Generate technical reports for each field visit Create a knowledge base of common compatibility issues Collaborate with the technical services teams to help resolve complex issues Work closely with our sales organization to identify new construction applications and preemptively test and verify our technology Maintain professional business relationships with clients, electrical contractors, distributors, and vendors as a representative of Leviton Qualifications Excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze a problem and apply critical thinking to solve Strong communication and customer service skills Able to work with an oscilloscope and other instrumentation Familiar with building codes, Compliance & Standards, electrical wiring, and safety guidelines Ability to work in a highly confidential work environment, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or other forms Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite Education & Experience Technical Associate Degree required Bachelor of Science Degree preferred Minimum two years of experience as a field technician or related role Previous electrical wiring installation experience is a plus Prior experience working on a new residential construction site is a plus Customer service/technical sales experience is a plus Travel Up to 60% travel Must possess a valid US driver license What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
