As a Field Specialist, you demonstrate strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to field operations, equipment monitoring, and maintenance activities. You perform field testing, support product application, manage inventory practices, and participate in structured training through the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program. You work collaboratively under operational timelines while strictly following HSE, compliance, and quality standards. You help ensure smooth, safe, and reliable field operations that align with Baker Hughes’ values and customer expectations.
As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring application and operating parameters to ensure performance and reliabilityConducting field and product tests, documenting results, and communicating findings to supervisorsPerforming preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as directedExecuting product inventory management tasks, including reporting, ordering, and material handlingDeveloping foundational knowledge of industrial processes, product lines, and operational workflowsCompleting required training within the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program, including HS&E, compliance, oilfield fundamentals, and product line toolsConducting all work in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Core ValuesTo be successful in this role you will:
Preferably have a Two-year Technical College Degree or equivalentHave knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering conceptsPossess general understanding of basic industrial processes and business principlesBe able to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate effectively across teamsBe capable of working in an industrial environment, including exposure to weather conditions, heights, and use of PPEDemonstrate strong communication and teamwork skillsWork in a way that works for you
