Fueling your passion

As a Field Specialist II, you will be based out of a customer location in the Port Arthur, TX area.  The Field Specialist II demonstrates strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to field operations, equipment monitoring, and maintenance activities. You will perform field testing, support product application, manage inventories, and participate in structured training. You will work collaboratively under operational timelines while strictly following HSE, compliance, and quality standards. You will help ensure smooth, safe, and reliable field operations that align with Baker Hughes’ values and customer expectations.

As a Field Specialist II, you will be responsible for:

Monitoring application and operating parameters to ensure performance and reliability

Conducting field and product tests, documenting results, and communicating findings to supervisors

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as directed

Executing product inventory management tasks, including reporting, ordering, and material handling

Developing foundational knowledge of industrial processes, product lines, and operational workflows

Completing required training within the LEAD – Field Specialist II Development Program

Conducting all work in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Core Values

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Two‑year Technical College Degree or equivalent (preferred)

Have knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering concepts

Have a general understanding of basic industrial processes and business principles

Have the ability to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate effectively across teams

Have the capability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to weather conditions, heights, and use of PPE

Have strong communication and teamwork skills
