As a Field Specialist – Control & Instrumentation, you will lead the technical execution of onsite installation, maintenance, testing, and startup activities for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Generators.
You will ensure safe and high-quality operations in accordance with engineering best practices and contractual requirements—primarily across Latin America.

In This Role, You Will:Work under minimal supervision and follow scheduled tasks related to installation or maintenance of customer equipment in the field.Collaborate closely with crew members during installation and maintenance activities at customer sites.Execute tasks following Site Quality Checklists and the agreed scope of work.Participate in routine coordination with customer representatives and site teams.Deliver complete documentation of all onsite activities to the Baker Hughes Supervisor and maintain excellent team relations.Ensure safe execution of all responsibilities in alignment with applicable service procedures, safety standards, and quality protocols.Perform additional related duties as required, always acting according to Baker Hughes’ Core Values.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree (preferred).At least 4 years of industry experience, plus formal training or hands-on experience with control systems for industrial rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, generators).Knowledge of control systems: Mark VIe, Woodward/Micronet, Opticom, Bently Nevada.Experience with products: Aero LM2500, LM6000, Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors.Experience in turbine mapping/tuning (a plus).Intermediate to advanced English (oral and written).Availability for local and international travel, including offshore work.BOSIET / HUET certification (a plus).Strong functional/technical skills, customer orientation, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Primary specialization in Instrumentation and Control Panels.
