+ Oversee radiological surveys, environmental sampling, excavation limits, and decontamination activities in coordination with project health physics staff.
+ Support waste handling, packaging, and disposal logistics, including compliance with regulatory requirements and disposal site criteria.
+ Monitor field conditions, contamination controls, dust suppression, stormwater BMPs, and equipment decontamination zones.
**Health & Safety Leadership**
+ Serve as the on-site safety lead, enforcing AECOM safety policies and project-specific Health and Safety Plans.
+ Conduct daily tailgate meetings, site-specific training, and hazard assessments (including heavy equipment, confined space, fall hazards, and radiological controls).
+ Correct unsafe behaviors and conditions immediately and escalate issues to project management when needed.
+ Maintain compliance with applicable federal (OSHA) and/or state regulatory requirements, as appropriate for the specific job.
**Project Planning & Documentation**
+ Support development and execution of Field Sampling Plans, QAPPs, SSHPs, and project work plans.
+ Maintain daily logs, production reports, safety records, equipment logs, and subcontractor documentation.
+ Assist in preparing progress reports, regulatory documentation, and closure reports.
+ Coordinate with regulatory inspectors and client representatives during field activities.
**Coordination & Communication**
+ Serve as the primary on-site point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, safety staff, and client representatives.
+ Participate in project scheduling, constructability reviews, and planning of field mobilizations/demobilizations.
+ Communicate daily progress, changes, and issues to project management and regulatory partners.
