**Job Summary**
Provides on-site technical service and support for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. Builds strong associate and customer relationships through clear communication, timely service, and expert troubleshooting. Demonstrates White Cap’s TRUSTED values by working independently with dependability, unwavering, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities**
+ Installs and maintains equipment at customer locations.
+ Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues in the field.
+ Provides clear, respectful, and timely communication to address customer service request
+ Develops and delivers training for operators and maintenance associates.
+ Promotes and sells parts and service agreements to support customer needs.
+ Creates and updates service manuals and instructional documentation.
+ Responds to customer issues with urgency and guides them through repair procedures when needed.
+ Builds strong customer relationships by demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise.
+ Collaborates with sales associates to support equipment sales and service opportunities.
+ Ensures all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards.
**Nature and Scope**
+ Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
+ Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
+ None.
**Work Environment**
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
+ Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
**Education and Experience**
+ HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and field troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Prior experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support roles.
+ Proficiency in or willingness to learn CAD software is a plus.
