🧩 Position Summary
The Field Services Support Representative is an entry-level technician responsible for servicing, repairing, and supporting a variety of company products. This role focuses on installation, preventative maintenance, basic networking, and routine service for small printers and low-end segment devices. Operating within a defined geographic territory, the representative ensures high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction while developing foundational technical and customer service skills.
🔧 Key Responsibilities Technical Service
Perform diagnostics, installations, removals, retrofits, and repairs on assigned equipment
Conduct basic connected installations, including IP setup, driver downloads, and customer training on standalone and networked devices
Troubleshoot and replace equipment components as needed
Demonstrate digital competencies aligned with assigned products and role level
Complete technical training on new technologies as assigned
Territory Support
Manage assigned territory, inventory, and customer relationships
Execute call handling and territory management procedures
Support colleagues during vacation or training coverage
Collaborate with sales partners to identify upgrade opportunities and generate leads
Maintain accurate car stock and parts inventory
Invoice for services outside contractual obligations
Customer Engagement
Interact with customers to assess service needs and ensure satisfaction
Exhibit professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external clients
Administrative Compliance
Complete all required administrative tasks accurately and on time
Comply with company policies and procedures
Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner
Contribute to overall team success through collaboration and reliability
🎓 Qualifications
Requirement Details
Education High school diploma required; coursework in computers, electronics, mechanics, or networking preferred
Experience Entry-level; prior exposure to technical or customer service environments is a plus
Driver’s License Valid state license and minimum auto insurance coverage per company policy

Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuitry, and networking
Logical troubleshooting approach using available tools and resources
Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and phone communication skills
Excellent customer service and follow-up capabilities
Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and documentation
Proficient with mobile technology and operating systems
Able to follow guidelines and resolve equipment issues independently
🧠Physical & Environmental Demands
Daily travel between customer sites in varied weather conditions; occasional outdoor work
Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing equipment (up to 400 lbs), and use of hand tools
Regular stooping, bending, squatting, laying, and kneeling to service equipment
Exposure to minor cuts, burns, solvents, and cleaners
May require shift work, overtime, and on-call availability
Periodic stress due to service volume and customer interactions
