The Field Service Technician – Level 2 will report to the Regional Service Manager and will be responsible for the service and maintenance of a single product line that the service team supports. This level technician will demonstrate a full working knowledge of a product line including theory of operation as well as the mechanics. This position will require travel throughout the United States.
This position is remote, but should be located in the Maryland area

Responsibilities
Monitor critical accounts and actively participate in support activities to accomplish quick and effective problem resolutionAnalyze and evaluate equipment performanceInstall and remove equipment and systems as requiredInstall required modifications and engineering changes to ensure that the equipment is within specifications and to maximize customer productivityPerform pre-installation assessment and site inspection on equipment in accordance with equipment requirementsProvide customer phone support as neededProvide technical support to other technicians as neededProvide sales assistance in demos and/or customer visitsWorking with the scheduler team, manage and perform preventative maintenance on trained equipmentWork closely with and develop strong business relationships with the customer and client personnelComplete all required reporting procedures related to the maintenance and repair of the equipmentCompletes all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.Accounts for all time and activity by recording information through the proper tracking system.Monitor and manage the return of all partsAttend training classes and develop necessary knowledge and skills to service GSD supported equipment and to advance to a level 3 positionWeekend work and overtime required as needed for installations, service calls and trainingCommunicate technical and escalated issues to the Regional Service Manager and Technical Service ManagerPerform related duties as assigned by manager
Required Skills/Education
2-5 years of field service experience with industry related product linesHigh School diploma or GED equivalentWorking knowledge of electronics or 2+ years field territory assigned experienceComputer skills with emphasis on operating systems and hardware.Possess necessary skills/attributes to include excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), working knowledge of Microsoft applications and outstanding customer serviceAbility to work with cross functional teamsStrong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate opportunities and challenges and uncover new consumer insights.Requires a valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant), and passportMust be able to do extensive traveling
