Field Service Technician
**Job Title: Field Service Technician** **Job Description** The Field Service Technician will travel across the globe to customer facilities to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade specialized industrial machinery used in wood fastening. The technician will be responsible for hands-on technical work, customer training, and ongoing support, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems. **Responsibilities** + Set up and configure new machinery at client sites. + Conduct operational and safety training for customer personnel. + Diagnose and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. + Perform routine and emergency maintenance. + Document service activities and any equipment modifications. + Provide remote assistance using phone, video, and digital tools. + Occasionally assist with equipment relocation and upgrades. + Focus on system upgrades and troubleshooting, installation and machine setup, and general maintenance as needed. **Essential Skills** + Strong electrical and mechanical experience. + 3+ years in field service/maintenance. + Ability to obtain a passport and travel domestically and internationally. + Willingness to travel internationally and domestically 75% of the time. + Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, and customer service. + Ability to interpret technical blueprints and schematics. + Understanding of AC/DC systems, electrical wiring, and 24V DC controls. + Familiarity with proximity and relay switches, blueprints, and schematics. + Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and wrenching. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Hydraulics and pneumatics experience is preferred, but training can be provided. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where you will gain hands-on experience with specialized industrial machinery. You will work in environments where wood pallets and sawmills are produced, which may be hot, cold, or dirtier. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4/5 PM, with no overnight work required. The team consists of four other technicians, and service technicians can expect to work approximately 50 hours per week, with training weeks averaging 40 hours. Once in the field, workdays may vary, ranging from 50-60 hours per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $93600.00/yr. 401K, medical, dental, vision insurance. Per diem, paid travel.
