Field Service Technician
Job Description Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join their team. Our client is a national provider of tailored business technology solutions, specializing in managed IT services, print services, document management, cloud solutions, and physical security systems In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of printer models at client sites. You’ll play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of printing equipment, while delivering exceptional service and support. Key Responsibilities: • Travel to customer locations to perform on-site printer repairs, maintenance, and installations. • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in printers (laser, inkjet, thermal, multifunction, etc.). • Replace or repair defective components such as print heads, rollers, fusers, and circuit boards. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. • Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Skills and Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or related field preferred. • 1-2 years of experience in printer repair or similar field service role. • Knowledge of printer hardware and software, including networked printing environments or similar IT repair experience. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
