Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Field Service Technician who will thrive in a customer-facing role. This position involves assisting a lead technician in performing HVAC service tasks. There are no specific certifications required, but experience with labor-intensive work is essential. The role may require working in various weather conditions, and it offers a temporary-to-hire opportunity.

ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC filters in various types of air handlers.Clean all debris and spent filters from rooftops and dispose of them properly.Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.Date and initial filters in the filter bank.Take notes of any deficiencies and forward them to the manager for customer contact.Remove and dispose of all trash created from the work upon completion.Ensure the service truck is maintained according to the vehicle specification guide.Essential SkillsMechanical skillsTroubleshooting abilitiesExperience using hand toolsUnderstanding of HVAC systemsGeneral labor experienceValid driver's licenseComfortable working with ladders and at heightsCustomer service skillsRepair and maintenance expertisePreventive maintenance and installation experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust be able to climb laddersAbility to lift 25+ lbsPrior general labor experience is a plusEffective communication with customersMechanically inclinedPrevious driving experience is a plusWhy Work Here?

This position offers growth potential, with the opportunity to advance from Service Tech I to Service Tech II. You will gain valuable experience working alongside a seasoned Service Tech II, enhancing your skills and career prospects.

Work Environment

Regular working hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, but flexibility is required as you may need to start earlier depending on the job site location. You will be traveling with a Service Tech II while on contract, and the role may involve early departures around 5:30am due to commute requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
