Field Service Specialist (Engineer) – Food and Beverage, Field Service (North Greece)

What You Will Do:

We are looking for our leading Food & Beverage team a Field Service Specialist based in Thessaloniki.

The Field Service Specialist is responsible for providing high level technical support to customers and the sales & service team on a national basis and supporting the introduction and roll out of new technologies and applications. The role reports to the Technical Support Manager and interacts with the Food and Beverage Division Manager. 

Key responsibilities include:

Provide total technical support to customers and sales force.

Analyze and answer application specific questions from customers

Contribute to the optimization of customers’ processes and provide ad hoc solutions (troubleshooting).

Build up and maintain contacts with external service suppliers and other relevant external partners.

Initiate, co-ordinate, implement, follow up and validate results of new programs for local market & customers.

Provide technical training for customers, OEM’s and internal departments.

Deliver field / lab experiments pilot trials and long field trials to validate results and solutions of Product Development.

Operate within and actively promote quality and safety guidelines Responsible for preparing technical sales support material to facilitate local sales process.

Responsible updating technical databases and SharePoint and creating new ones when necessary.

Point of direct contact and collaboration with Region South and Europe Technical Excellence Team. Participate in General Account Management activities such as regular customer review meetings reporting, forecasting, receivables management, account planning etc.

Manage customer sales to plan targets and target growth opportunities.

What You’ll need:

University Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science or relevant.

1-3 years previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferably in the F&B sector, is highly desired.

Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal & written communication)

Advanced Computer literacy (Ms Office- especially PowerPoint & Excel, Web based tools etc.)

Capacity to integrate and interact with different disciplines (Engineering, Regulatory, Production, QA, Logistics, etc.) and levels (managerial, professional and hourly)

Able to work independently, coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments.

Analytical skills and detail oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

High regard for safety.

Autonomous and flexible in working patterns as some out of hours required.

Willingness/Availability to travel frequently throughout Greece as well as Cyprus and Albania when needed.

Driver’s license.
