The Reconfigurable Desktop Trainer (R-DTT) support team conducts all maintenance and repairs to the R-DTT simulators located at various defence establishments in Australia. Each site is manned by a Field
Service Representative FSR (who is a Simulation Technician (SIMTECH) / Trainer) with management of the sites being the responsibility of the maintenance manager (MM).
The purpose of the FSR position is to ensure that the administrative, servicing, maintenance, training and repair activities associated with the ongoing customer support for the R-DTT are carried out in accordance
with contracted requirements for the site as detailed in the R-DTT through life support contract.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an R-DTT Field Service Representative (FSR), you are accountable for:
Provide on-site support to the conduct of unit R-DTT training including out of hours on site support for unit R-DTT training; Provide on call off site support via phone contact during out of hours operation; Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of the R-DTT s; Perform on site first line repair to R-DTT s; Delivery of in unit R-DTT operator, instructor and maintainer training courses; Design, and deliver additional exercises and scenarios as well as edit existing training scenarios;Assist in software and hardware modifications of the R-DTT; Provide direct liaison with the customer with regard to upgrades and suggested improvements of the R-DTT s; Provide detailed monthly reporting statistics to the MM (or PM) with regard to simulator usage, KPI’s and downtime; Maintain integrity of configured baseline of R-DTT hardware and software; Maintain on site stores and spares inventory;Provide subject matter expertise to Thales management with regard to future land-based simulation projects;KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
