Job Summary
The STES FSR will support the Technical Assistance of AEC for the full duration of the contract by providing technical assistance dedicated to the maintenance of thermal imagers and Night Vision Goggles.
Key Responsibility Areas
• Diagnostics and assessments: Assistance with in-depth diagnostics to accurately identify technical problems of cameras and NVGs, using available maintenance resources.
• Repairs and replacements: Support to maintenance technicians to carry out necessary repairs and replace defective components to ensure the proper functioning of the cameras.
• Preventive maintenance: Ensures the proper implementation of preventive maintenance of cameras and NVGs to minimize downtime, extend the life of the equipment and guarantee its operational availability.
• Calibration and adjustments: Support to maintenance technicians to carry out precise calibration of cameras to ensure optimal performance and maximum reliability in infrared detection and analysis.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance operations performed, problems encountered and solutions provided, as well as regular reports for the chain of command.
• Spare Parts Management: Participates in inventory management by tracking all inputs/outputs of spare parts used for maintenance operations.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are compliant with Thales procedures and are carried out in safe conditions.
Key Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Areas

Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with Thermal Camera operation & maintenance. Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuits by visual inspection or by use of diagnostic software or test equipment. Experience in the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power meters, and signal and pulse generators to test, tune, align, adjust, calibrate, and troubleshoot communication equipment. Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services Experience in a complex environment (multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc) .
Qualifications
Senior Technician diploma in OptronicsAdditional: Knowledge of the family products Camera MINIE/LUCIE or similarCertifications
Specialized training and certification in Thermal CameraYou speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skillsMinimum Relevant Experience
