Storage Express is the biggest (and best!) self-storage company headquartered in Indiana. Our company owns and manages over 100 self-storage locations in communities across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. We're looking for someone to help us keep our work property in tip-top shape, and to track our inventory of thousands of storage spaces. You’d start your day from our Fort Wayne, IN property in a company provided Ford F150 truck.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily inventory checks of our bar-coded storage spaces using a handheld scanner and a company provided Android phone
Routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of our storage units
Troubleshooting gates and I.T. equipment
Repairs to our roll-up doors, latches, and tracks
General upkeep (weed spraying, shrub trimming, and leaf removal)
Conduct daily physical storage unit inspections, confirm inventory availability and ensure spaces are secure and/or ready to rent.
Qualifications:
Must have maintenance experience (we will provide training on our storage-specific troubleshooting and repairs.)
Detail-oriented.
Basic mechanical and technology skills using smart phones, apps and other software.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to meet physical demands of the job (heavy lifting up to 70 lbs. regularly, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc.)
