**Field Service Product Owner**
This is a hybrid position (3/2), based in Budapest (Hungary).
**What you’ll do:**
The **Field Service Product Owner** leads the strategy, development, and delivery of Eaton’s Field Service digital products. This role is responsible for maximising product value by defining the vision, managing the roadmap, and prioritising the backlog in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Working on high-impact, complex products, the Product Owner collaborates with senior leaders to influence strategic direction and communicates progress at the executive level. The role involves managing a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and other product professionals, ensuring delivery through Agile practices and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Define and champion the product vision, roadmap, and backlog
+ Translate business objectives into epics, features, and user stories
+ Manage product funding, budget, and team capacity
+ Lead and coach a team of IT professionals to deliver business outcomes
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure customer-centric development
+ Oversee product release planning, sprint goals, and operational governance
+ Ensure product stability, support, and compliance with data, policy, and cybersecurity standards
+ Drive process excellence using Agile, Lean, and DevSecOps methodologies
+ Act as a functional expert in Field Service and Salesforce platform capabilities
+ Manage vendor relationships and contracts to support product strategy
+ Promote secure development practices across the product lifecycle
**Qualifications and skills:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
+ Fluent English (C1 level)
+ 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, with a solid background in complex technology projects (e.g. analyst, project manager, engineer, BRM, or programme lead)
+ Prior people management experience is a plus with proven ability to lead and develop teams
+ Strong expertise in product management and modern delivery practices
+ Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies
+ Familiarity with DevSecOps and secure development lifecycle principles
+ Solid understanding of software development concepts: code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services
+ Knowledge of Salesforce and Field Service capabilities, including Eaton’s functional domain
+ Skilled in executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement
+ Experience with design thinking, lean product/portfolio management, and roadmap planning
+ Data-driven decision-making mindset and financial/budget management skills
+ Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
+ Comfortable working across global teams, cultures, and organisational boundaries
