Lucas Tree Experts is looking for a Road Mechanic for our Maine fleet. This position will service the Greater Portland up to Auburn . Must have a strong mechanical background and the ability to repair or replace parts on both on road and off road vehicles.  This is a road mechanics position which requires daily travel. The ideal candidate will be Independent, self motivated, and well organized with some basic computer skills.

This is a full time, year-round, outdoor, physical labor opportunity and the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the mechanical field. Duties: Performing maintenance and repairs on: bucket trucks, medium duty international, freightliners, off road wheeled and tracked equipment, wood chippers, hydraulics on aerial lifts, wheeled and tracked off-road equipment, timberjack skidders, JD excavators with mower heads, Jarraff side trimmers, and running engine diagnostics. 

Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a DOT medical examiners certificate.
Must be able to work outdoors, year round in all types of weather.
Must be able to maintain and repair medium duty trucks with air brakes and tree trimming equipment including wood chippers, off road wheeled and tracked equipment and aerial lifts/hydraulics.
Must be able to weld and fabricate.
Must be able to dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools
Must be able to pass a Background Check, Motor Vehicle Report and Physical/Drug Screen.
