Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a professional service provider in the water treatment industry. You’ll be providing on-site services for our customers in the southern Netherlands region. The following activities are a guideline; others can be part of the job scope.

Job responsibilities:

Installation and commissioning of water treatment systems for customers from various sectors.You resolve malfunctions quickly and professionally, both on site and by telephone. In addition, you carry out preventive maintenance to avoid problems.You will inform users about the correct use and maintenance of the systems.One week per month, you will work as a service engineer in the breakdown service, providing expert support where necessary.Finally, you will ensure that everything is kept up to date by reporting your work and passing on orders for parts to the administration department.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering backgroundMinimum of 5 years of lab, plant, or maintenance experience preferably connected to water treatmentLanguage : NL/ENG

Service mentality, customer focusComputer literate including knowledge on programmable Logic Controller (PLC) base control systemsStrong communications skills (written, verbal, and listening)Familiarity with water treatment processes and applicationsStrong interpersonal skillsCustomer service experienceStrong analytical skills and business acumen- results orientedAbility to be a team playerSelf-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independentlyStrong organizational skillsContractor supervision if requiredParticipation in Piloting and Field trials when requiredParticipating in the local team meetings to share best practices
