As a Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Life Science you will be responsible for providing high-quality onsite customer support and represent the face of the company to our customers.
Conducting routine maintenance, installation, and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites, including calibration, and mechanical and electrical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts and production of Installation/Operation Quality documents.
Diagnosing system failures and determines the most cost-effective solution and escalating complex issues to a greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role is instrumental in providing a high level of customer support, requiring close interaction and good working relationships with both our customers and colleagues in the Leeds / Manchester region, with travel to other regions as required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responding to customer support calls within your assigned territory and escalating complex issues as required to ensure a timely fix. Diagnosing system failures and determining the most cost-effective resolution.
Ensuring Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames. Drive to continuously seek to add value to the services provided and achieve first time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times, lower costs to the customer, thus enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, debriefing and reports and maintaining accurate car inventory.
The essential requirements of the job include:
A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject, or previous Field Technical experience.
Full clean UK driving license
