As an ISO/IEC 17025 KOLAS Mass and Related Quantities Calibration / Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering service excellence to meet customer expectations through internationally accredited calibration and on-site service activities.This position combines KOLAS-accredited mass and related quantities calibration with field service support and equipment qualification activities, ensuring compliance with international standards, accurate measurement, and high-quality technical support to customers.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain Mass and Related Quantities calibration equipment in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and KOLAS requirementsPerform Mass and Related Quantities calibration procedures and prepare calibration reportsConduct regular inspection, verification, and calibration of standards and equipmentPerform equipment qualification activities including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ)Prepare and manage qualification protocols, reports, and related documentationEnforce quality management systems (QMS) and prepare related documentationPerform calibration and measurement work at an internationally accredited calibration instituteDeliver on-site services including installation, calibration, preventative maintenance (PM), basic repairs, and technical supportService laboratory instruments such as Biological Safety Cabinets, CO₂ Incubators, Cold Storage, and CentrifugesProvide technical consultation and resolve customer issues to minimize equipment downtimePrepare service reports, validation documents, and protocols according to internal and customer requirementsBuild strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer experienceCollaborate with commercial and internal teams to support customer solutionsComply with all relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of hazardous materials where applicableContinuously develop technical skills and product knowledge through training and self-studySupport continuous improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement activitiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in KOLAS calibration (Mass, Temperature, or related quantities)Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Service EngineerPractical understanding and hands-on experience with ISO/IEC 17025 standardsExperience in equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) is strongly preferredPreference for candidates who have completed KOLAS-related training (e.g., KS Q ISO/IEC 17025 operational practice, measurement uncertainty)Strong electrical or mechanical background with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAdvanced PC literacy including MS Office (especially Excel) and strong technical documentation skillsCustomer-oriented mindset with a professional demeanorExcellent communication skills in Korean (required); English communication skills preferredAbility to work effectively with customers and colleagues in challenging and stressful situationsJob-related technical certifications and language qualifications are preferred
