How You Will Make an Impact
As a Field Service Engineer II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to delivering excellent service for sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments. Working with customers across research, industrial, and healthcare settings, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment while providing exceptional customer service. This position offers opportunities to work with advanced technology while contributing to scientific advancement and innovation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field plus 2 years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing LCMS and other complex analytical instruments
Experience
Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues down to component levelExperience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment preferredAbility to read and interpret technical documentation and schematicsExperience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reportsDemonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goalsAbility to effectively train and support customers on equipment operationKnowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbalStrong organizational and time management capabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management softwareValid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territoryPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory environmentsStrong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independentlyAdherence to safety protocols and quality standards
