Looking for a Field Service Engineer to work with a team, upgrading the video management system (VMS) to at DoD facilities Worldwide. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on a critical mission supporting US Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM).             

Serco supports the US IMCOM Army Child & Youth Services (CYS) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to include the equipment within the server rack. Our team upgrades, maintains and provides support to the Functional Technology Specialists (FTS), building directors, and staff on site to allow them to perform their mission successfully.        

You will be part of a team where you will work on a team supporting the upgrade of the video management system (VMS) at DoD facilities Worldwide.  We are looking for individuals that can work with a team to set up and configure the VMS and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to the VMS system. You will work closely with Engineers, Project Leads, and Project Engineers.

Position Description

As a Pre-Installation and Test Check-Out (PITCO) Field Service Engineer II, you will work with a team of other technicians performing IT systems lab configuration and testing on a modernized IT system for U.S. Army installations worldwide.

This work involves installing closed-circuit television, desktop computing systems and peripherals, cabling (including termination) and rack-mounted equipment for U.S. Army installations world-wide. Your position may be assisted by other technicians, and you will have frequent contact with professionals and others within the establishment; you will perform typical duties as follows:

Review documents in ServiceNow Apply asset tags to hardwareWork with warehouse personnel to transfer equipment to/from PITCOUpdate asset management databaseConfigure hardwareStage, power up, and interconnect hardwareInstall software image and apply settingsAnalyze and resolve technical issues related to VMS end pointsMonitor the burn in of hardware Complete test plans and checklistStrong troubleshooting skills with hardware and software video management systems and network devices.Repack hardware and palletize for shippingCreate transfer orders in asset management databaseProvide progress report on PITCO testingUnderstand termination of Cat 5e/6 using T568B color code standardApply methods previously outlined to limited segments of research and development projects, constructing experimental or prototype models to meet engineering requirements; conducts tests or experiments and redesigns (as necessary) recording and evaluating data and report findings.Ability to perform basic administrative tasks (daily status report, close-out documents, timekeeping) in a timely manner.Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer (or equivalent work experience).3 years of experience with installation of closed-circuit television, video management systems, Windows server and Windows 11operating systems, and Internet Protocol networking.A Active DoD Secret Clearance.Maybe required to travel for work and be able to work outside of normal business hours up to 10%.A U.S. Citizen.

Additional desired experience and skills:

Experience with Genetec software, including its various modules and functions. Military backgroundAn Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the hourly range for this role is $67,889to $113,149; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
