Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Description

This position involves the troubleshooting and repair of spectrophotometers and other devices on customer sites using proprietary diagnostic software. The role requires significant travel within the North East region and interaction with customers to identify potential needs and opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesTravel extensively within the assigned territory, averaging 90% travel, to meet customer requirements.Use Client proprietary diagnostic Spectro Auditor software to troubleshoot and repair spectrophotometers and other devices.Interact with customers to detect potential needs and opportunities.Diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues related to connectivity, functioning, and performance of instruments and their components.Essential SkillsKnowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware.Proficiency in electronics, electrical systems, hardware, PCB troubleshooting, electronic repair, and circuit board troubleshooting.Experience in test and troubleshooting using diagnostics software.Additional Skills & QualificationsA Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred.Salesforce experience is advantageous.Service-minded attitude.Valid driver's license.Work Environment

The work environment requires extensive travel within the North East region. When not traveling, the engineer will spend two days in the office collaborating with service technicians. The company is known for its family-oriented culture and has a very low turnover rate. There are already a number of projects in the pipeline for 2025, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
