Job Description
The Field Service Engineer utilizes electromechanical skills to deliver exceptional service to customers. This role involves installation and troubleshooting of vacuum pumps, abatement systems, and gas and chemical delivery systems, contributing to revenue growth for service and sales divisions. The engineer actively participates in site safety programs, fostering a zero-hazard environment, and works professionally to enhance customer relations. A strong understanding of detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is essential, as is adherence to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements. Proficiency in using test equipment, including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools, is required. Regular and punctual attendance is crucial, along with collaborative teamwork and respect for supervisory guidance.
ResponsibilitiesPerform installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement systems, and gas and chemical delivery systems.Participate in site safety programs to maintain a zero-hazard environment.Develop and maintain professional customer relations.Understand and interpret detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Adhere to site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.Utilize test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.Maintain regular and punctual attendance and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Respectfully take direction from supervisors and perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsField service experience in mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair.Ability to read schematics and diagrams.Electromechanical experience.High School Diploma and Associate's degree (or full military equivalent).1-3 years of experience in relevant technical fields such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum.Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.Competence in using test equipment, including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.Basic computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsPositive attitude, enthusiasm, and a strong willingness to learn and commit to excellence.Self-starter with the ability to set priorities, demonstrate initiative, and complete tasks independently.Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods.Completion of training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment.Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment and a clean driving record.Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% if needed.Fluency in written and spoken English.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
