Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting essential water purification systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, which will align successfully with the organization. **Job Title:** Field Service Engineer **Location:** ***In Chicago Illinois area*** Must have water treatment experience Car Allowance up to $50 per/day max $2000 p/month Fuel Reimbursed business-related expenses Internet Service up to $75 per month **What's the Job?** + Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on water purification systems. + Provide timely and professional service, ensuring all customer requirements are met. + Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed documentation of services provided. + Generate leads for new hardware and service contracts using CRM tools. + Maintain tools and test equipment in proper working order and perform necessary calibrations. **What's Needed?** + Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Technical degree, professional or military electronics / mechanical experience may substitute. Electronics background / experience desired. OR + High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of field service experience and/or experience in skilled trade + Overnight travel as required. Amount of travel depends on territory (10-60%), training, team meetings and coverage/support for other territories. Must possess a current passport or be eligible to obtain one. + Work outside of normal business hours as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Customer base includes clinical customers who at times require emergency service during nights, weekends and holidays. + Minimum 1-year field service experience and/or experience in other applicable skilled trades. + Proficient with tools and test equipment. Tools include basic construction tools (screw driver, basic power tools, drill, etc.).
