You will become a part of Materials and Structural Analysis Field Service team, servicing Electron Microscopes. You enjoy being on the road and can expect to be travelling up to 50% of your time, primarily to our customer sites within Italy with opportunities to support colleagues within Europe from time to time.

Job Description
The Engineer II, Field Service provides onsite customer service by performing installation, service and repair work on sophisticated instruments at the customer's site. The Engineer ensures the system meets performance specifications and guides customers in the operation and alignment of the instrument.
Responsibilities
Performs service tasks on high-end systems and accessories for one or multiple product linesTakes responsibility for customer communication related to the work and systems assignedSupports team members to ensures highest level of customer satisfaction is achievedTakes responsibility for assigned customer base as primary engineerTakes responsibility for the accurate completion of administrative tasks and required trainingsTakes responsibility for on-the-job training of engineers in local teamProvides regular updates to primary engineer and supervisorTravels in the region to perform service tasksQualifications
Preferable having 2-5 years of experience in a related fieldA Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field (engineering or physics is an advantage) is required.Knowledge of TEM and/or SEM/SDB and Full TEM/SEM training is equivalent to the BS degree, as a plusPreferably having experience with analytical fixing and problem-solvingBasic knowledge of vacuum systems, high voltage, electronics, mechanics is preferableLeads by example, flexibility in approach and executionKnowledge of Electron Microscopy, XPS or other relevant X-ray technology, as a plusExcellent communication and customer handling skillsExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityFluent in English and local language in both word and writingValid passport/visa and driver's license
