An opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a global analytical instrumentation company that protects water quality around the world.
This will suit an engineer who enjoys travelling broadly across the Middle East and has experience of maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting analytical instrumentation.
The Opportunity

As the standalone Field Service Engineer in the region, you will provide repair, maintenance and training services for all Hach equipment, both at a broad range of industrial and municipal customer sites across the Middle East alongside our distributor service partners (60%), as well as supporting our partners remotely from home (40%).

In this role, a typical day will look like:
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by making periodic contact/visits, exploring specific needs, resolving problems, and establishing service strategies
Evaluate Channel Partners associates service abilities, maintain skills matrix, identify, and plan development and training for them
Ensure lean and accurate parts inventory within the region, use established work instructions to provide repair, calibration, certification, testing, and preventative maintenance services for all Hach equipment
Actively promote contractual service agreements and upgrade purchases of new equipment and provide training on Hach installed equipment to customers
Follow safe work practices appropriate for the environment including awkward or cramped spaces, electrical and mechanical hazards
Perform other customer service-based duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
At least 2-3 years or more hands-on field service experience in analyzer maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, calibration and commissioning (e.g., process gas analyzers, liquid analyzers, or similar instrumentation)
Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent discipline. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
Experience working with multi-brand analyzer systems and integration with DCS/PLC systems is an advantage. Strong knowledge of analytical instruments, sample handling systems, and process control interfaces
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Familiarity with safety standards, hazardous area classifications (Ex/ATEX), and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet, etc.). Proficient in using diagnostic tools, calibration software, and standard test equipment
Willingness to travel frequently across the Middle East for field assignments and service calls
