Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for a temporary travel assignment to assist in reworking and parts installation on CRAH units at a customer warehouse. This position acts as a vital support to Level 2 technicians, assisting in various tasks under the guidance of the Service Lead.

Responsibilities

Support rework and parts installation on CRAH units under the leadership of the Service Lead.Assist with mechanical rework on units, including attaching control panels.Prepare daily reports on work performed.Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA, and company policies while working.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications.Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards.Torque, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, and bond component parts.Conduct inspections to ensure assemblies and installations meet quality specifications.Operate computer equipment to read drawings and bills of materials.Coordinate workflow, paperwork, and communications to meet production needs.Maintain a clean work area by adhering to the 5S program.Perform testing such as point-to-point and hi-pot testing as required.Identify and rework defective workpieces to comply with quality standards.Use hand tools and power tools effectively.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience as a technician in electrical installation, assembly, and repair.Proficiency with control panels, VFDs, PLCs, 3-phase motors, and HMIs.Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.Experience with mechanical and control systems.Familiarity with 480V 3-phase electrical systems, PLC/DDC controls, VFDs, and BMS communication protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic computer skills for opening documents and working from an HMI.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Willingness to travel 100% (including weekends when required).Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work in tight spaces, and climb ladders.Comfortable working in mission-critical environments with high uptime requirements.Strong team player with the ability to maintain positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and customers.

Work Environment

This is a 3-month traveling position with opportunities to return to the Mesa 2 plant in an electrical or assembly role. Candidates must be comfortable with overtime and weekend work, with shifts starting as early as 5 AM and ending as late as 4 PM. We accommodate return travel home on as many weekends as possible. Travel arrangements, including airfare, rental car, and hotel, are covered, with the option for mileage reimbursement if driving. Candidates will also receive a daily per diem for food. The role requires the use of personal protection equipment and involves physical activities such as lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
