Job Description:

The Field Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supporting field service technicians for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machining equipment.

This role serves as the main communication link between customers, service technicians, and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling & Coordination Plan, schedule, and dispatch field service technicians based on customer needs, technician availability, and geographic location.Track and adjust daily assignments to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.Customer Support Serve as the first point of contact for customer service requests, inquiries, and updates.Communicate estimated arrival times, service updates, and resolution timelines.Technical Support Assistance Provide technicians with necessary documentation, work orders, parts lists, and service history.Coordinate with engineering and parts departments to ensure availability of tools, components, and technical support.Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of service calls, customer issues, parts usage, and technician time.Prepare service reports and track key performance metrics such as response time and service completion rates. Logistics & Inventory Manage shipment and tracking of parts, tools, and replacement components required for field service.Ensure technicians have necessary consumables and supplies for on-site work.Compliance & Safety Ensure all service activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.Support technicians in adhering to OSHA and industry-specific safety guidelines.

Education: High School

High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 3 months

Previous experience in service coordination, dispatching, or customer support within a machining, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.Knowledge of machining equipment, CNC machinery, or related industrial machinery is a plus.Strong organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with ERP systems, service management software, and MS Office Suite.
