About The Role
The Field Sales Manager role is responsible for leading defined area of teams to deliver market leading retail sales and growth. They will be instrumental in driving profitability and sustainability through retail sales and ensuring that we provide consistent magical customer experience across the area retail estate. The Field Sales Manager will demonstrate inspirational field team leadership and commercial acumen; consistently striving for excellence, delivering against profit objectives, and championing the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty culture. They will strive to exceed in all Key Performance Indicators including: footfall and conversion, average transaction value, customer experience, data capture, social advocacy and eNPS scores both in the air and on the ground. 

 

Role Accountabilities

Build a High Performance Team of Store Leaders 

Lead the country and manage the team of Flagship Business Manager for department stores & 3 Multi-site business manager for Sephora, ensuring objectives are set in place and review monthly  Work in collaboration with Field training manager to ensure the Field team conducts, weekly and monthly store visits  Work with the Retail People Partner to support in the delivery of the people plan: skills gap analysis, development pathways and succession planning, investigation and disciplinary meeting, capability upskill and recruitment across the region Drive engagement throughout the region and identifying key gaps and opportunities using Employee Surveys and tactical approach designated for France employees. Create engagement improvement plan along with the Flagship Business Manager and training counterpart.  Work alongside the Training Manager to ensure commercial and development training needs are met within the region. 

Commercial Leadership of the area  

Drive Field France Team to deliver retail sales in line with forecast commitments, achieving total retail sales across the country while improving KPI (ATV, services, skincare, eventing, TTH, attrition rate, vacancy rate, turnover rate, engagement etc)  Feed into the store level forecasts set by the commercial team, and align on associated targets with the Regional Sales Manager  Work closely with senior commercial counterparts on building regional strategy and ensuring focus on every retail partner.  Flagging risk & opportunities with key action plan 

Development and Execution of Retail Strategy 

Work in close collaboration with the Training Manager and NAM to develop a launch and sustain plans for all stores and NPD & coaching on sales  Lead initiatives to differentiate department store concessions, , and the Specialty model. Develop and implement marketing and service strategies tailored to each environment based on customer and store insights. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive brand awareness, performance, and market share across the region. Focus on enhancing the social media presence of retail teams by developing targeted social media campaigns and content. Work closely with the Pro Artistry team to support the creation of artistry centres of excellence in our flagship stores and a high level of artistry in all Work closely with the Retail Operations Team to ensure effective and timely communication with field teams. Provide pro-active feedback and suggestions for improvement to enhance operational efficiency. Drive omnichannel sales initiatives, ensuring no conflict of interest with retail partners. This includes promoting ‘Tilbury at Home’ services and commercial social advocacy initiatives. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Maximize the productivity of stores staffed for specialities and be pro-active on new staffing structure to encourage productivity.   Work with the People team to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention. Maintain strong relationships with local retail partners to optimize brand presence. Identify and realize incremental opportunities at the store level by collaborating on joint marketing initiatives and in-store events. 

 Effective Cost Optimisation 

Manage all retail staffing costs, including recommending FTE levels across all stores working closely with store retail partners. Additionally, managing resource planning with Retail People Partner and the retail recruitment team Manage the in-store payroll budget for the area, submitting and course correcting dependent on trading patterns at each forecast cycle by feeding into the Senior Sales Manager Review and approval of commission submissions for your area Stay within your T&E budget and manage accordingly 

Reporting Relationships 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager of Southern Europe Direct reports of 3 Multi Site Business Manager in Sephora and 1 Flagship Business Manager Department store  Collaborating with a team of Field Sales Managers  & Operation and maintenance assistant working across Southern Europe 

About You

Must be able to travel within region France regularly  Extensive experience in senior field management or multi-site role, with proven experience of building talent and delivering retail growth in luxury beauty industry​  Strong people focus with a passion for developing teams  Target-focused and results-driven  Excellent numerical and analytical skills  Effective communicator, both written and verbal  Excellent presentation skills and classroom delivery  Competent PC skills in all Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint  Personable and approachable; able to build rapport quickly  Ability to influence others  Self-starter; able to motivate oneself and others  Comfortable working in ambiguity  Solution-oriented  Structured and organised  Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities  Team spirited
