Field Sales Engineer

This role is pivotal in driving the success of our electronic solution sales by serving as the technical subject matter expert. The Senior Field Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with our Local Regional Sales Office (RSO) and National Electronic Sales (NE) teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and close complex sales. This position requires a deep understanding of Physical Access Control Software (PACS), IT/Wi-Fi networks, integrated electronic locks, reader & credential technology (both physical and mobile), and low-voltage systems, paired with hands-on field experience.

What You Will Do:

Partner with RSO and NE sales teams to identify customer needs, propose solutions, and support the sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure, focusing on complex electronics projects.

Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) in network/Wi-Fi, PACS, integrated electronic locks, reader & credential technology (both physical and mobile).

Lead technical sales efforts on Wi-Fi middleware projects and YP-based electronic lock projects.

Conduct on-site assessments, system demonstrations, and technical presentations to showcase product capabilities and benefits.

Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for complex technical challenges during the sales process, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Collaborate with customers to design and implement customized solutions for core institutional, corporate, and government markets.

Prepare and deliver detailed technical proposals in conjunction with our PACS and system integration partners.

Support the development of technical training materials and provide mentorship to other sales team members.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to provide innovative and forward-thinking solutions.

What You Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on field experience in a technical sales engineering role, preferably in the electronic solutions or security industry.

Expertise in Physical Access Control Software (PACS), IT/Wi-Fi networks, integrated electronic locks, reader & credential technology (both physical and mobile), and low-voltage systems.

Proven track record of partnering with sales teams to close high-value, complex sales opportunities in core institutional, corporate, and government markets.

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex system challenges.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electronic security solutions is a plus.

Willingness to travel to customer sites as required, estimated 30%.

Candidate must live within the United States

Preferred Skills

Certifications in PACS, networking, or low-voltage systems (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CWSS, CPTED, ESRM or other similar).

Experience with system integration and working with third-party vendors.

Familiarity with cloud-based access control systems and IoT technologies.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Total Compensation Range: $122,000-$191,650. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
