Accountabilities:

Interpreting insurance policy wording, determine policy coverage’sSetting up appointments with the insuredsProvide customer service experience for policyholders and prompt and equitable settlement. Explain claim process to insuredsInvestigate, interpret and confirm coverage issuesAppraisal and adjustment of complex property claims. Evaluate, negotiate and make final settlementWork in collaboration with assigned contractorsComplete replacement cost on contents and the evaluation of building damages

Qualifications:

4+ years’ experience as a property field claim adjusterExcellent knowledge of building construction, the insurance processes and the insurance industry and legislationExperience in settling complex property claimsKnowledge and ability to work with programmes such as Guidewire and XactimateMust have a valid driver's licenseCommitment to providing outstanding customer serviceProficient keyboard skills and computer literacy, word and ExcelWell organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment;Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate with others to reach goalsHighly motivated and able to work well independentlyEnrollment or willingness to enroll in Insurance Institute courses
