Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Project Manger to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

Prepare construction inspection summaries of daily activitiesReview drawings, specifications, and other contract documents for constructability (plans, specs, shop drawings)Review detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the workTrack / measure completed work quantities for paymentManage the team of inspectors, coordinate their schedules and oversee their work and recordsMonitor work zone traffic control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issuesMonitor the erosion control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issuesOversee and accept project sampling and testing of component materials and completed workVerify the dimensions and calculations of prepared and completed workAnalyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnelInform Client on project issues and provide them with recommendationsInteract with Project Managers and clients in a proactive manner to determine what routine issues affecting project management need to be addressedMaintain construction project records in accordance with FDOT proceduresInterface proactively with the project managers, contractors, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to-day construction activities and review of contractors’ submittalsPerform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computationsDirects and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction projectResponsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project durationAdhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaignsEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals

What Required Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:

Possesses excellent analytical, technical, and communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in full suite of Microsoft office programs and Adobe AcrobatAble to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problemsAbility to receive direction and effectively execute tasks in a timely mannerExcellent problem-solving abilitiesMaintains a positive attitude and collaborative spiritA Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures, or eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road and bridge structuresRegistered in the State of Florida as a professional engineer (or if registered in another state, have the ability to obtain registration in Florida within six (6) months) plus five (5) years general bridge construction experience, for which CEI services are being provided by this scope or for non-degreed and/or non-registered personnel eight (8) years of general bridge construction experience, for which CEI services are being provided by this scopeMinimum of one (1) year of experience as the Project Administrator in primary control of the type of construction project for which CEI services are being provided by this scopeMust have, or be able to earn within 6 months, the following qualifications: CTQP Final Estimates Level II, FDOT Advanced MOT, CTQP Quality Control Manager CourseAttend a FDOT accredited post-tensioning training course and pass the examination (for post-tensioned CC2 projects), Attend a FDOT accredited grouting training course, and pass the examination (for post-tensioned CC2 projects)Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion formValid Driver’s License and a clear driving record

​What Preferred Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
