Role Overview
Leading crews by example to achieve zero incidents and ensuring tasks are done right the first time. Understanding and ensuring the quality of engineering deliverables for seamless handover to operations. Developing a no-late change mindset to adhere to planned IFC designs. Applying industry standards and specifications effectively. Creating a respectful and progressive site environment through active listening and accountability. Facilitating excellent communication and teamwork while utilizing good computer skills. Building a learning team focused on reducing and simplifying processes within guidelines. Participating in P&ID, model, constructability, programming, C&E, and drawing reviews to enhance construction efficiency. Managing and approving pre-commissioning activities, including loop, function, and C&E checks. Coordinating efficient instrumentation and controls installations while leading site quality assurance/quality control programs. Overseeing Function Check Out, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and PSSR's prior to the startup of new facilities. Tracking costs and schedules daily to maintain project timelines safely. Generating weekly reports on progress with a look ahead for upcoming tasks. Effectively managing multiple project sites through collaboration with teams. Participating in process hazard analysis (PHA) and safeguard evaluations. Leading site approvals and closure of PSSR and readiness for startup. Managing contractor personnel in HSE risk management proactive programs. Ensuring the quality of engineering documents at handover aligns with engineering WorkPacks. Assisting with factory acceptance testing and leading field inspections as required. Participating in After Action Reviews / Learning Teams.Skills & Qualifications
Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs) P&ID expertise Construction Planning Knowledge of Standards & Specifications (optional) Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment TroubleshootingEducation & Experience
5+ years of instrumentation and electrical experience within the Oil and Gas industry. 5+ years leading I&E Construction Site work onshore/offshore. Journeyman electrical licenses required. Preferred: 10+ years of Oil and Gas Instrumentation and Electrical experience, 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience, Master electrical License in North Dakota, 2+ year Instrumentation/Electrical degree.Pay & Benefits
