Job PurposeThe Site Project Engineer will oversee the engineering and construction of onshore oil and gas projects, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet safety, quality, and operational standards. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from planning through to completion on site. Job Responsibilities + Project Oversight: Supervise on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project schedules. + Technical Review: Review and evaluate the engineering designs, plans, and specifications for compliance with project requirements and industry standards. + Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and construction, to facilitate smooth project execution. + Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise during construction, proactively implementing solutions to maintain project timelines. + Quality Assurance: Ensure the implementation of engineering best practices and quality control measures in line with KBR and BP standards. + Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports for management, highlighting progress, risks, and areas for improvement. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations on site. + Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address concerns and foster positive relationships. Technical Skills + Strong background in design and execution for onshore oil and gas projects. + Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP, etc.) and tools relevant to mechanical engineering. + Deep understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards applicable to the oil and gas industry. + Experience with construction methodologies and techniques specific to oil and gas facilities.
