Field Operations Support Assistant

Provides administrative and clerical support to a funeral home, cemetery, crematory or a combination of these facilities. Duties include greeting the public and providing general information on services offered in a polite manner with a goal to meet and exceed customer expectations. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Prepare and process death certificates accurately and on time + Support multiple mortuaries across the market, including coverage when other DC Clerks are on vacation + Work directly with doctors’ offices daily to obtain required medical information and secure physician signatures + Handle all information with discretion and confidentiality + Track the progress of each death certificate and provide real-time updates to location management and arrangers + Collaborate with location management, funeral arrangers, and support staff to gather information for death certificates + Experienced in working with Excel and Google Docs + Responsible for filing and amending records for multiple locations and for ordering death certificates + Perform other duties as assigned by market management + Bilingual skills preferred **MINIMUM** **REQUIREMENTS** + Minimum of 5 years EDRS (Electronic Death Registration System) experience + Strong technical and organizational skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations + Professional discretion in all communications + Advanced user in HMIS and Compass software proficiency + Valid driver license with reliable transportation **Education** + High School or equivalent **Experience** + 1 - 2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity required + Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment required **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Working knowledge of office equipment including computers, calculators, copiers, printers, and fax machines at a level consistent with experience + MS Office Suite experience preferred + Basic mathematics skills required + Good verbal and written communication skills + Strong organizational skills and detail oriented + High level of compassion and integrity + Ability to maintain confidentiality Compensation: Salary: $18.00/hr.- $22.00/hr.
