Field Engineer
A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated Field Engineers to join our team in Denver, CO.  Responsibilities/Duties: · Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals · Assist in management of project permit process · Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement · Receive and review change orders · Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks · Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation · Services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents · Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status. · Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate · Action based upon contract specifications. · Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course of construction are recorded. · Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents. · Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items · Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and contractors. · Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: · Construction/related degree with 1-5 years construction experience · Excellent computer skills and analytical ability · Experience working with Primavera P6, AutoCad · Understanding of industrial construction process · MUST - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: Tunneling, heavy highway, DOT projects, pipeline, water treatment, marine, etc. · Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings · Knowledge of contract procedures and principles · Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment · Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Relevant experience can waive degree.   Benefits (Full-time): •    401K & 401K Matching •    Dental Insurance •    Health Insurance •    Life Insurance •    Vision Insurance •    Paid Time Off (PTO) •    Referral Program •    Weekly payroll For more than 120 years, hard-working, honest, innovative people have been building what has become SOUTHLAND HOLDINGS.
