Field Engineer
Scheduling/Coordination/Precon • Assist all Superintendents to proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk. • Assist with coordination of all work between subcontractors and material suppliers. • Assist with timely project procurement through project scheduling and expediting material deliveries, etc. • Support the Project Manager/Office staff with all field related activities and assist with notification to subcontractors of job status and upcoming responsibilities. • Notify Architects/Engineers of required/needed inspections. • Assist with scheduling and participating with inspections by all authorities having jurisdiction • Assist with coordination of all third-party on-site testing (soils, concreate, steel, etc.) and coordinate temporary facilities for overall site. Organization/Procedure • Responsible to reinforce all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards. • Reinforce compliance with CCIP program requirements including enrollment, accident/incident reporting, site inspections, etc. • Assist with weekly foreman meetings (safety, work procedures, site storage and staging). • Assist with verification of all T&M tickets and receipt of materials and equipment. • Assist Superintendent with developing, maintaining, and enforcing project site logistics plan and temporary facilities plan. • Assist with monitoring all project control reporting measures including photos, daily reports, toolbox talks, accident and incident reports. • Assist with developing and executing plan for monitoring and completing punch list items. Job/Project Knowledge • Maintain a working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and a complete updated set of documents throughout the life of the project. • Monitor and attempt to understand all trade contractor’s means and methods in accordance with project contract documents. Safety • Assist with implementation and interpretation of safety programs. • Notification of work process to pedestrians, tenants, etc. for safety and recording of dumpster usage, pick ups, etc. • Assist with Site Safety Orientations as needed. Quality Control • Responsible for all site activities (plan and specification adherence, quality of work, safety, and overall coordination.) • Overseeing layout and field engineering in accordance with all project requirements. • Reinforcing of project specific quality assurance and workmanship program to include all subcontractors. • Responsible for clean and organized site adherence. • Preferred 2-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) • Prior field internships or cooperative education experience is preferred Software Skills Requirements • Procore • Bluebeam • MS Office Suite • Smartsheet • StructionSite • Navisworks – BIM Model Soft Skills • People Management: Team Player, Collaborative Spirit • Leadership/Can-Do Attitude: Positive, Eager to Learn • Desire to Advance Career: Undertakes Training Opportunities • Communication: Asks questions, speaks clearly, proper email etiquette, understands and interprets information, emotional intelligence • Accountable and Trustworthy: Shows up on time, completes tasks, maintains confidentiality
