ICF is actively recruiting for a Field Cybersecurity Support Specialist become a part of our team. This pivotal role involves providing remote support to our small business clients across the US and its territories, assisting them in evaluating their information security stance and addressing security concerns.
The role of Field Cybersecurity Support Specialist requires a solid foundation in desktop, server, network, or security administration, coupled with a keen interest in learning new technologies. The candidate we’re seeking should have practical knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory and Domain Services, firewall access control, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and standard security controls and practices.
This fully remote position and requires travel for conducting independent onsite assessments and supplementing our existing onsite assessment team as required, up to 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment SupportSchedule and perform vulnerability scans of client networksReview and follow up on critical issues identified by assessmentsAssist with support, maintenance and enhancement of scanning infrastructureindependently research and recommend sound technical solutions to security issues and guide client onsite staff with implementationTechnical SupportMonitor, perform and coordinate responses for support request with team membersResearch solutions, review vendor and product documentationDevelop technical guidance to address common assessment findingsInterpret, understand and implement security policies and controlsAssist with internal infrastructure support as skills permitUtilize existing administrative skills and develop of new skillsMaintenance of Firewalls, Switches and RoutersMaintenance of VMware server with Windows and Linux virtual machinesWindows and Linux System Administration and troubleshootingMonitor production environment performance, operations and backupsSpecial project supportAssigned to leverage existing or develop new skills as neededLearn to assess, interpret, document, and communicate findings and recommendation of client onsite and cloud computing environmentsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted for degree6 years combined experience in at least two areas below is required:Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and application server administrationMicrosoft 365 or Azure Cloud ServicesUnix or Linux operating systems administrationVirtual server administration: VMWare or Windows Hyper-V preferredNetwork administration of routers, firewalls and switchesGeneral Network and System security, Information Assurance, or Cyber SecurityImplementation of security standard for FISMA or industry compliance requirementsDesktop support, helpdesk, hardware or software managementApplication programming, preferably with PHP, SQL, Java, other OOP languagesProfessional Skills and Experience:

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$73,722.00 - $125,327.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
