The Chemours Corpus Christi facility located in Ingleside, Texas has an opening for a Field Contract Administrator position. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Operations function. This position will report to the TAR/Supplemental Area Maintenance Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
The Field Contract Administrator (FCA) is responsible for managing the interface between the contractors and area(s) and the area personnel. The Field Contract Administrator also functions as a liaison between the Site Contract Administrator and the contractors while engaged in activities on site. It is expected that the Field Contract Administrator spends the appropriate amount of time in the field as required by the contractor’s project workload. It is also expected that the Field Contract Administrator strive to acquire the skills necessary to assist / backfill roles performed by the Contract Administrator as required.
Understand scope of work to be performed by contractorsAssist with scope of work developmentParticipate in project package preparationConduct pre-job meetingAssist with the inspection of contractor’s equipmentFollow contractor work during execution and acceptanceMonitor safety, quality, cost and scheduleAssist / prepare work permits and audit suchAssist with the process of verification of receipt of servicesAudit, verify and approve timesheets, material receipts and other documentation required for receipt of servicesMaintain daily logs of contractor work performedPerform duties during TAR’s as required to ensure successful schedule and budgetary complianceRelay site conditions to contractors through the site orientation processAssist Contract Administrator with issues and claimsEnsure compliance with regulatory and Chemours’ safety, environmental and health policies and proceduresAudit contractor’s safety performance and program effectivenessAssist with incident investigationsMaintain various records and metrics as requiredProvide input on post-job evaluationAcquire understanding of contract terms and conditions and their applicationAcquire competencies in SAP (work orders, requisitions, receipt of service, data acquisition and report generation, etc.)Achieve competency in all site contract administration processes and proceduresAchieve understanding of co-management issuesAchieve competencies in all facets of the six-step process for contractor safetyPrequalification processBid package development including site conditions and scope developmentManaging the bid cycle and contract award process with sourcingAuditing contractor trainingCoordination of work in the filed including safety audits, JSA Audits, and the work permit processConducting post job evaluationsAchieve competency in the overall receipt of service processIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Five (5) years Industrial field experienceAbility to work in process and field areas that may include physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction areasDemonstrated ability to work with individuals and teamsDemonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, setting and communicating priorities, and understanding the business driversEffective oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate in a group setting to large audiences as well as audiences of all levels and backgroundsDemonstrated ability to develop and execute effective task planningDemonstrated ability to work with various computer programs including Microsoft office, SAP, etc.Successful applicants will be required to take an online pre-employment test, participate in pre-employment selection process and interviews. The pre-hiring process will include a drug screening along with a security background check.
