Field Assistant I
**Job Purpose and Impact** As a Field Assistant, you’ll play a key role in driving estate operations at the division level, ensuring that business targets are met through effective day-to-day management. This role is all about making things happen on the ground — from production activities to workforce management — while keeping efficiency, safety, and sustainability at the forefront. **Key Accountabilities** + Develop monthly work plans based on the total area under your responsibility, aligned with the estate’s annual program and operational targets. + Manage and utilize available resources (workforce, tools, and materials) to ensure smooth execution of work programs according to plan. + Carry out all field programs in line with company guidelines and operational standards, with a strong focus on cost efficiency and effectiveness. + Oversee daily field activities such as harvesting, crop upkeep, and fruit transportation, ensuring compliance with work specifications and achievement of set targets. + Verify daily and monthly workforce reports before submission to the Estate Manager for review and approval. + Identify operational challenges in the field and prepare inputs for discussion with estate leadership to support improvements and monthly decision-making. + Conduct objective performance evaluations of subordinates as the basis for career development and productivity improvement. + Prepare and deliver accurate, timely daily activity reports to support monitoring and operational documentation. + Foster strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders, while ensuring all equipment is well-maintained, safe, and ready for use. Carry out additional tasks as directed by management. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree (S1) majoring in Agronomy, Plantation Cultivation, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Soil Science, or Plant Protection , preferable have minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Assistant in oil palm plantations. + Diploma (D3) in any major with at least 3 years of experience as a Plantation Supervisor (Mandor) in palm oil estates. + Solid technical knowledge of crop maintenance and plantation production processes. + Strong communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and field teams. + Basic digital proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. + Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, with analytical and strategic thinking skills. + Ability to influence others to be proactive, positive, and open to organizational change. + Cultural adaptability and effectiveness in working within a multicultural environment.
