Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Applications Scientist with expertise in Ion Chromatography (IC) and Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) to provide advanced technical support and customer training for our analytical solutions. The role will focus approximately 70% on IC and 30% on LC-MS. In this position, you will work closely with sales teams and customers to support pre-sales activities, conduct on-site customer visits, and deliver high-quality technical training.Serving as a trusted scientific advisor, you will help customers optimize workflows, solve complex analytical challenges, and maximize the value of their investments—directly contributing to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Key Responsibilities

Working across multiple technology platforms, you will:

Provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical supportDevelop new applications and methodologiesTroubleshoot complex technical issuesBuild and maintain strong customer relationshipsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Product ManagementDrive customer success and business growth through technical excellence

Qualifications & Experience

Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in analytical instrumentation and applicationsPreferred background in AnalyticalChemistryStrong expertise in method development and technical problem-solvingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to varied audiencesProven presentation and training skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, results-driven environmentExperience managing multiple projects and prioritiesWillingness to travel up to 50–75%Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific softwareStrong customer-focused mindset and interpersonal skillsAbility to build effective relationships with internal teams and external customersFluency in English required; additional languages are a plusValid driver’s license and passport required for travel
