Job Description Job Description Network Connex is hiring 10 Fiber Splicing Technicians for one of the largest data center projects in the world, located in Abilene, Texas. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile site with a team of 50+ cable splicers. The role focuses on precision fiber splicing and comprehensive testing to ensure optimal network performance and reliability. Responsibilities  • Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for high-speed data transmission.  • Perform fusion splicing and fiber testing  • Work collaboratively with a large team to meet project deadlines.  • Follow all safety protocols   Qualifications  • Minimum 3 years of fiber splicing experience (environment does not matter).  • Ability to work both shift schedules (day and night).  • Must pass a background check and drug test.  • Reliable transportation to and from the data center site.  • Commitment to the full contract duration (site closed only 3 days for Christmas).  • Must be able to start on December 12th or December 16th.
