About this Role

The Comtran Group is looking for a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician.  This role consists of all aspects of Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic cable splicing.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fiber optic fusion splicing (includes building splice enclosures, placing inside wall mount splice enclosures)Fiber optic mechanical splicing (Unicams or equivalent mechanical connectors)Fiber optic testing (continuity, insertion loss, OTDR and fiber characterization)Fiber optic troubleshooting for repairBucket truck operationLowering and raising aerial splice enclosures What You'll Bring Proper footwear:  Boots with a minimum 1" heelClean driving recordExcellent communication skillsAttention to detailWillingness to be a team player What You'll Get 401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance Equal Opportunity Employer
