JOB DESCRIPTION

To produce and deliver maximum quality feed safely and efficiently. All maintenance personnel are required to maintain, repair and/or replace parts of machinery as discovered during PM’s or in case of breakdown during operation to keep Feed Mill operating at capacity. Keep communication open with all maintenance, receiving, and production employees. All shifts are to consult with each other on a daily basis to discuss that day’s events. Keep self up dated on all new equipment, parts and manuals, changes that are made. Look and suggest things that will improve the operation of the plant.    

Non – Essential May be required to perform other job duties as required and deemed necessary by supervisor. Notify supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or processes. May be required to obtain forklift license and learn to operate the forklift.

 

Job Requirements:

Required to hold arms in front of chest at times through out the work process. (Arm extension may exceed 15 inches) Relaxed and/or full extension of arms below and above shoulder level. Frequent and infrequent motion with hands, wrist, and arms. Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and/or climb the entire workday. Must have good grip in hands and flexible wrist. Must have corrected or uncorrected 20/20 vision. Ability to work in an environment which has a constantly moving line of product. Must be able to lift 35 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds occasionally.  Must be able to work at high altitudes.  All maintenance employees must maintain a working telephone at their residence.  Maintenance employees may be called in after regular work hours to make repairs or assist with repair of mill breakdowns.  Maintenance employees must be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed to perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
