JOB TITLE: FEEDMILL LEAD PERSON

POSTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for manufacturing feed in accordance with standard operating procedures established at the feed mill. This position will be responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to receive ingredients, grind grains, mix and pellet feed. Operate the processing equipment according to established standard operating procedures. In addition to feed manufacturing the operator will perform housekeeping activities, quality checks on feed and ingredients maintenance and repair of equipment. The lead person is also responsible for compliance with all company policies. Local, State and Federal policies, laws and regulations.

   WILL BE RESPONSIBLE:

Operate the pelleting, grinding and batching equipmentManufacture feed according to quality assurance policies and GMPsCollect sample ingredients and perform quality assurance testsPerform micro handling  & house keeping dutiesMonitor equipment and processes reporting issues to managementComply with company, local, state and federal laws regulationsMust be able to dispatch and receive in ingredients if needed

   ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Must work well with others in a team environmentMust possess good decision making skillsMust have good math skillsRequire to load trucks with the correct feed, and use load out printerResponsible for keeping the area cleanMust obtain Confined Space CertificationMust obtain forklift, and weigh master license

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or GED equivalent
