IBM is seeking a motivated and experienced marketing professional to support the Consulting segment for the Federal and Public markets, as well as for Application Operations offerings
**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Consulting Field Marketing & Communications Professional, you’ll build go-to-market plans based on a deep understanding of clients, partners and the local market to drive consulting signings pipeline. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver against shared goals, including Product Marketing, Consultants, and Strategic Partners. To be successful in this role, you need to be a natural storyteller, with strong executive presence and a passion for data.
The Consulting Field Marketer will help achieve the following objectives for the market he/she covers:
* Build deep relationships, pipeline, and advocacy with target audiences through high-caliber experiences that delight, educate and inspire C-Suite buyers and senior leaders
* Drive brand eminence and advocacy through client references, client speaking engagements and external communications.
* Grow IBM Consulting pipeline for our offerings and services through sell-to / sell-through Strategic Partners
* Manage pipeline in partnership with analytics team and direct the work of multi-program plans to react to gaps in pipe, delivering tangible results. Determine innovative ways to progress pipeline and work across teams to create and execute progression-oriented campaigns
* Maintain the position of IBMC as an expert in industry, strategic partner, and client challenges by actively bringing insights from the field back to IBM to improve marketing execution.
* Measure, analyze, and report on the impact of marketing and communications activities
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Serve as the main POC to executive stakeholders and General Managers, co-creating Americas marketing plans with them to drive outcomes for their businesses. Own and nurture key business, product and marketing relationships across IBM Consulting - you are the face of marketing to sales and vice-versa
* Execute across multiple projects of high complexity and influence functional strategy.
* Be recognized as Subject Matter Expert in the field
* Lead others in their work, providing innovative ideas, working across multiple business units, client segments and partners within the geography
* Leverage data to build unique client journeys, by audience and industry and the supporting content.
* Own the pipeline deliverables for your business
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Experience in developing marketing strategy and supporting marketing execution plans
* Expertise in pipeline analysis to drive results across the marketing mix
* Expertise in client and partner audiences
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with IBM Strategic Partners and Alliances and co-marketing.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Consulting marketing experience.
